My poor neglected blog!!! What can i say. Sometimes life gets in the way. DD's school just started this week. I can't believe she's in 2nd grade now. Time flies. DS is going to be 2 in October. He's a handful and keeps me on my toe.

wow....i can't believe i haven't posted anything for a long time. My poor, neglected blog. Anyway, i'm still here. Have been just really busy with a toddler who keeps me on my toe. I've had a sinus surgery last month. I'm feeling a lot better now.

6th birthday celebrations!!!

My daughter turned 6 the past weekend. She's been planning her birthday since beginning of the year. The theme kept changing but finally she decided on a cupcake party. She woke up really early on her birthday and got ready quickly her fancy dress. 10 of her friends came to the party.

They made tissue paper flowers, played musical chair, freeze dance, jumped in leaves, decorated cupcakes, and much more. All the girls were really happy and noboday wanted to leave.

Rainbow painting...

DD loves to draw/paint. This sunday she asked me if she can have a canvas so she can paint a rainbow. I got 12x12 canvas from big lots for $5. A friend mine had given a elmer's tube paint set for her b'day which dd loves. BTW...these paint tubes are awesome, they don't make mess and easy to use for small kids.

Has it been over month since i've updated my blog? Life is just crazy with two kids. We had a round of sickness in family, we took a short vacation in end of feb. The little one is still recovering from cold.

what's new today? Let's see dd lost her first tooth last night. She was pretty scared of seeing the blood coming out of her mouth. The tooth fairy gave her a $1 so she was really happy. She's back to school today and K is sleeping so i'm just trying to finish some designing/scrapbooking/posting. :)

Wishing you the very best for the coming year. It's back to the grind, dd's back at school and hubby's at work. K is taking his nap right now, i can't complain. I'm trying to finish some household chores.

I'm doing project 365 (take picture a day) this year. I hope i can keep it up. I will post a weekly review on the blog at end of the week.

Wow....i can't believe i haven't updated my blog. It's been a long time. I have a newborn. He's 2 months old now and keeping me busy. DD has a winter break so it's been a challenge to juggle two kids, home and social activities.

I'm slowly starting designing again. Check out my shoppe for some re-release from last year and some new BYOC goodies.

the weather is beautiful. The sunny days are here again. I think we'll take dd to patting zoo this weekend. She has "stage performance" today to honor parents. She's been singing the "mommy" and "daddy" song everyday. I'm so looking forward to it.

Any plans for memorial day? We want to go camping at Yosemite if we get the housekeeping tent. I hope someone cancels and we can get the tent.

my poor blog. I've been neglecting it for quiet a while now. Time to get back into routin. Things have been just really crazy at my end.

My allergies started acting up again and last night was miserable. I barely slept for a couple of hours.

I've been releasing new products on an off at lilypad. We just release the May BYOC. Check it out here if you haven't.

I've lost my scrapping mojo. Haven't scraped a page in a while. I feel so uninspired these days! I hope it doesn't last too long.

Can't do a post without a picture. :) DD loves to go to a beach. Here are some pictures from our recent trip to a beach.

The weather here (in Northern California) has been beautiful for the past few days. I know CA needs rain but we're enjoying the sunshine while it lasts.

DD rode her bicycle and did some chalk drawing in the backyard. We played tag. We ate our lunch outside. We had a great time. The weather's nice today too, so we'll be spending some more time outside today after she's back from school.

another year older....

Yes, i'm yet another year older! Time is flying by and i have so much to do and not enough time. I had a wonderful birthday. Hubby worked from home, we picked dd up from school and went out for lunch. We really enjoyed our lunch and time together as a family. :) I was exempt from doing the mommy duty and household chores.

I'm back to my normal routine, doing laundry right now. :)

I wish you a very happy new year! Our christmas and new year celebration were full of festivities. We had great food, great company and played some fun games. DD's school in starting in 3 days. She's looking forward to going back to school.

December was a slow month for designing. Hopefully i can pick up some pace for January. I think the brand new BYOC we just released today is a good start. It's packed with lots goodies. We're also celebrating Lilypad's 2nd anniversary. We've planned month long festivities for the celebration so don't forget to check lilypad boutique through out this month for some great savings.

wow....i haven't updated this blog in 2 months. I'm such a bad blogger. I'll have to ponder on closing this blog. Anywho, we had a wonderful thanksgiving. It was great spending time with family.

DD has a belle class on thursdays for half an hour.
You can't get anything done in half an hour, well, i could have taken a walk but was feeling lazy.
So i was waiting outside and was really bored.
Luckily i had my camera with me.
I started taking pictures of my purse and the camera bag.
I got more creative and started taking pictures of the contents in my purse.
I carry a lot of junk in my purse. :)
I took lots of pictures but only posting the pretty ones. :)

homemade pizza...yummmm

This is what we had for dinner last night, a home made pizza. We love making pizza at home. DD loves it since she gets to pick the toppings and help out with putting cheeze and toppings.

Since we are vegetarian, we end up putting lots of veggies on our pizza. :) We use different toppings (spinach, peacans, almonds, red/yellow bell peppers, onions, zucchini , peaches, pears, apples, basil leaves, garlic and the list goes on...).I also try to make pizza sauce (sometimes get it from Trader Joes)and pesto sauce (i love pesto sauce, goes great with grilled sandwich) at home. (well most of the time)

BTW...i get my pizza dough from Trader Joe's. It's the best.

Please share your homemade pizza recipe, or any good vegetarian recipe :)

Farmer's Market

We love to go to our local farmer's maket every sunday. DD's always ready for a trip to the market. She loves sampling different fruits and vegetables. The farmer's market is held in a train station parking lot so watching the trains pass by really exictes her. :)

I love the fresh produce and flowers. :) I almost always buy my fruites, vegetables and eggs from the farmer's market. I've stopped going to our local grocery store. The fruites and vegetables taste so much better then the super market's.

I hope when DD is older, she'll still enjoy going to the farmer's market.

It's been a while since i've updated this blog. Every time i try to update the blog, something comes up and i have to abandon the post. Let's see, summer is over, i'm kind of feeling sad. :) Summer is my favorite time of the year.

Had some guests over last week so was busy entertaining them. DD starts her belle class this thursday so we're pretty excited about it. She also starts her art class in first week of october. I can't wait to see what she creates. :)

i can't believe it's been over a month since i've updated this blog. Time flies when it's summer. August flew by so quickly. Our weekends this summer were pretty busy with summer activities and social activities.

DD is starting pre-k at a different school starting next tuesday (only part-time though). She's already sat in her new class for couple hours. She already made couple of friends in those 2 hours. I think the transition is going to be easy. She loves dancing so i've enrolled her in pre-ballet class. Hope she enjoys it.

what else....oh yes, we are having a big labor day weekend party at the Lilypad so don't forget to check it out.

Fruits...

I had to document this before i forget. DD loves fruits. Give her any fruit and she'll eat it. She won't touch any other food if there are fruits around.

We go to our local farmer's market every weekend to pick up some fresh fruits. I just cut them up in cubes and give it her for snack. I also love fruits and my favorites are pluots, nectarines, cherries, blueberries and watermelon.

Oh and how can i forget mangoes. Love 'em. I make smoothie out of mango pulp. It's YUMMM!

I freeze grapes and blueberries and dd loves them. Try it if you haven't. Kids love it!

Ok ....this post is making me hungry for some fruits.

I have canon rebel xti. I just started paying more attention to creative modes. I've been playing with different modes and i must say i've gotten some really good pictures. I've been also playing with textures and photoshop actions a lot these days.

I used a free texture from flickr on this photo. If you haven't tried textures on your photos then try it. Play with blend modes and opacity.

The other thing i'm loving right now is photoshop actions. You can find some really cool actions at deviantART.

I also worked on more journal pages. I'll be posting the pictures in couple of days.

Like my new header?

This is what i've been doing these days. DD loves coloring and whenever she's coloring she makes me sit with her. I bought this blank journal a while ago so when dd colors, i work on my journal. And let me say i'm really enjoying it. Here is a glimps of 3 journal pages:

hello there fellow scrappers! I hope everyone's enjoying summer. We're doing lots of outdoor activities and i've been taking lots of outdoor pictures. So to scrap these pictures, i designed a mini-kit in neutral colors with an uppercase alpha pack and some really fun elements. The kit is called "Organic" and is 20% off for this weekend only. It's been...

a long time since I've updated this blog. Just returned from a long trip. Let's say I'm glad to be back. So summer is here and we have a fun BYOC (Build Your Own Collaboration) collection out at Lilypad. The colors are fabulous. I designed four products for the BYOC collection.

What else is new? Yes, I'm devoting more time to my Canon Rebel. I need to get out of the Auto mode and experiment with other features. Here's a picture i took recently of DD and her friends. I played with levels and curves in photoshop and i really loved the way this photo turned out.

Oh yeah, we went cherry and strawberry picking on Saturday and DD had a blast. She ate so many cherries. She loves fruits and cherries and strawberries are her favorites. Someone had little too much fun with the cherries. :)

two months since i updated this blog? I'm such a bad blogger. Things are pretty crazy at home. The weather's improving so we've been spending lot of time outside. Also, we're taking a trip to visit family overseas so been just busy planning/packing for the trip. I'll be gone for a month and be back in end of May.

what am i upto?

I bought my canon rebel about 2 months ago but haven't played with it much. I'm still shooting my photos in auto mode. I need to read that manual. Just took few of these photos couple of days ago.

Just finished reading the Kite Runner and wow what a book. If you're planning to read it then keep some tissues handy. I don't know if i can watch the Kite Runner movie.

I've been just pretty busy designing. I have this fun pack of doodle photo frames coming out this friday so don't forget to check out my store. Everyone must be busy shopping for the holidays. Hubby was on a business trip and just got back. Well let's just say i'm glad he's back. DD is handful. I'm sorry i haven't posted the freebie yet. Hello there fellow scrappers. Hope everyone had a good week. My week was uneventful. DD's doing really well at her preschool. I have to thank all of you who suggested honey for my allergies. I've been taking it for a week now and it seems to be working. :) I picked it up from our local farmer's market last week and taking it ever since. Currently i've been taking it twice a day but i think i should at least take it 4 times a day.

So what's new in my lilypad store? Well i have these really unique swirl masks which you can use it with your choice of papers and embellish them with your choice of elements. I can't believe October is almost over. Things are just pretty crazy at my end. Just finished working on another project. DD's doing well at her pre-school and she's learning a lot. We took her to pumpkin patch last saturday. The weather was nice and she had fun collecting small pumpkins in her wagon.

What else? There are some exciting things happening at Lilypad in November so do stop by the store and the blog. I have a new paper pack called "Old Brick House" out tomorrow. Busy week!

Sorry about not posting on monday. I've been really busy. DD just started pre-school so i had to hang around to see if she was ok. To my surprise, she adjusted very well. She didn't even cry when i left. She's only going for 2 days a week but she'll start going 5 days a week for half a day in october. She's so ready.

In the digital-scrapbooking news, my store is doing well. Thank you for your well wishes. I really appreciate it. I love designing and now i'm just thrilled to be selling my creations. I feel so proud when i see my designs in scrapbooking layouts. Thank you all so much.

Can you believe it's september already? My week just flew by so quickly. I was just busy taking DD to her gymnastics class, to the library, to swimming and entertaining her at home. We made couple of bracelets. She loves coloring so we color everyday. Hopefully she'll start preschool next month. She's on waiting list for couple of schools. I hope she gets in :).

Did you guys miss me? Two of my sisters families were visiting us from east coast. They just left on Sunday. We had a great time. DD really had fun with my nephew and she really misses him. Hopefully we'll see them soon!

Be Curious!

Time for A freebie!

I don't feel motivated these days may be because the weather is getting warmer and i'm out of the house most of the day with DD. We go to a park, go to our local library, play in our backyard, go for a walk... I need to get my creative mojo back. It's sometimes really hard to balance home and scrapping.

Give me some suggestions on what you'd like to see besides flowers, vines and swirls. I can try my hands at drawing some other things.

Free Funky Flourish!

Hope everyone had a good week. I'm still fighting cold or allergies, don't know. I need to get tested for allergies. I've been scrapping a lot lately. I'm working on an alphabet book for my daugther. Here's the "Letter A" page. I wanted to keep it simple. The red and white papers are designed by me. Fonts are 1942 report and British Museum 14th c. I liked the way it came out.

I don't know what's going on with this weather. It's spring but it feels like winter is back again. I've been fighting really bad cold all week. But i have some good news to share. I'm a Scrap Gypsy. I'm really excited to be working with an amazing team. In another news, I was a random draw winner of Digi-Dare #30 and winner of Digi-Dare #31.

Free Swirl Flower!

Hope everyone had a good week. Mine was pretty good. I'm working on an alphabet book. So far i've finished 4 letters. I'll post a link, once i'm done with all the letters.

For this week's freebie, i started with a swirl and then while playing around with it in photoshop it turned into a swirl flower. I don't know if there's such a thing as swirl flower. But i like the way it turned out and i hope you'd like it to. The freebie is no longer avialable. Here's a preview:

I love the expressions on my DD's face in this picture. I thought carefree was the perfect title for the photo. Oh, the joy of childhood.
